Bactria: It had been months yet no reply from Perdiccas, the first Diadoch. Surely, the Selucid ruler would be generous and allow those Greeks that wanted to leave go home in the west. It had been granted to 300 soldiers as little as two years ago. Yes, there were more that wanted to go home this time and partake in the Greek way of life that was so difficult to achieve out in the barren wilderness of Bactria. Perdiccas would not want to spill the blood of his subjects or tempt fate; especially with the newness of the crown on his head. With 20 units split into three commands the Bactrian Rebels felt confident that while they would not overpower their opponent they could still cripple him and cause so much anguish that the Selucid ruler would not chance the encounter. On the March to Bactria: Pithon saw the clouds of dust that his men, carts and horses were stirring up and felt pity for the men he would slaughter when he got to Bactria. The poor fools thought they had a chance but against his mighty horde that was foolishness. Perdiccas had given him very clear instructions "Destroy this enclave and wipe out any thought of them going back to Greece." Pithon knew his king was right; how can you expand an empire when you have the kindling of rebellion in your midst. It was not wise to let it go or ignore it, better to take the time to eliminate it. Perdiccas had been specific "Do it now!" With the forces facing each other this was their general dispositions: Rebel ArmyLeft Flank:

Sub-Generals will only take orders from their superior Commander; Sub Generals can not give orders to another Sub-General. You can not give orders to a Division if the Sub-General of that Division has not used all his Command Points on his own Division. Any orders to the Indian Contingent from another General must be rolled for. Do they work? The additional rules are self explanatory, if anyone has a question as to why I would be happy to go into it but not in this Battle Report. I will apologize in advance as there was a small accident and all of the commander's names have been lost in the annals of history. (all right they were recorded but beverage opened in the car and all paperwork had to be thrown out. It amazing what can happen to a car trunk when it is left at the airport for 5 days.)?
