1.This issue is a wee bit late... got back from my vacation in mid-November, and wasn't able to run off the copies until after Thanksgiving. All of which says that I may have trouble getting the December issue out on time. 2.My sincerest thanks to Tom and Gilly Elsworth, Robin and Sheila Peck, and Peter and Julie Dennis, with whom I stayed a total of three weeks in England. Their patience in putting up with this strangely garbed creature from across the sea was truly remarkable. TWA lost my luggage for the first week of my stay, and so my normally fastidious wardrobe of black tie, tails, top hat, etc., was supplemented by an assortment of locally-purchased goods. 3.This issue starts out with a report on my adventures overseas ... oriented, of course, to the wargames in which I participated. The hobby is alive and well in England.. glossy magazines abound (one of which boasts a circulation of 13,000! a couple of quarterlies have appeared, and there seems to be no lack of conventions.
