1. HISTORICON was a success. The HMGS Harrisburg convention was enjoyed bv all. I'm including two reports on HISTORICON in this issue. The first is an "insider" HMGS piece and it'll give you an idea of the HMGS backroom shenanigans and goings-on. The second is my usual rambling account on the actual gaming events ... what I saw and what I did.

There are probably lots of things I didn't see ... but you can read about them in THE COURIER, probably in mid '88. In actuality, I exaggerate... THE COURIER's response time has improved by an order of magnitude. The latest issue. which appeared about a month ago, had reports of the early March MINICON in Washington DC. and the early April LITTLE WARS in Chicago.

2. Last month I gleefully reported on two-in-a-row, two straight wins in the Simon v. Hurst Great 30mm Civil War. Unfortunately, my euphoria was shortlived... Bob Hurst bounced back with a resounding victory and he's now ahead 5 to 2 in the campaign schedule of 10 battles. I've got to win the next three just to keep my head above water. Anybody want to bet on the Lion?

3. I note in the latest COURIER that Pat Condray has published his WARFARE IN THE AGE OF NAPOLEON THE LITTLE. He leads off with the statement that "These rules are intended to permit simple but fairly realistic wargames... of the mid 19th century." (emphasis supplied)

In past articles in the REVIEW, I have taken issue with the descriptor "simple" and have commented that, when playing these rules, I constantly required Pat's guidance through my own sheer ineptitude at not being able to decipher the rulesbook. Now that the rules have been universally broadcast, perhaps we'll find out which is the problem... me or the rules.
