What's New in Wargaming

1980

RAL PARTHA:

Evil Wizard on Litter is a new six-piece release from our Cincinnati friends. The set includes the Wizard on his throne; a star shaped Litter with Jungle Cat and Female companion; and Four Troll Litter Bearers. These fantasy figures are from their "Personalities and Things That Go Bump in the Night" line. Ral Partha has announced that they will be importing the Citadel Line from England. The Armory over in Baltimore has been the main, source for the last few years. They will be suppling our area if the local shops want to stock Citadel.

METAGAMING:

Two new Microgames are now available. Stalin's Tanks is a historical game in which players take command of German or Russian tanks on the Russian front. The intrcductory level game for two players is compatible with the previously released Rommel's Panzers. Dimension Demons pits friends from another dimension against the Fleefleet of Ishom. The player who can control Trans Dimensional Projection and the breeding of new Demons wins the game. I guess it beats the Gong Show out for an evening.

G.H.Q:

Two new releases in the Micro Armour series of 1/285-scale tanks and other vehicles include N34, the U.S. Army's new XM-1 Main Battle tank, and US30 an American WWII M-31 General Grant tank with recovery apparatus. Both are packed 5 to a blister pack. Please note that G.H.Q. had a price increase back at the first of the year.

FLOQUIL-POLLY S COLOR CORP:

The new aerosol MA9 figure primer offers a quick easy method of applying a smooth, even prime coat to metal figures and gaming miniatures of a11 types. It dries to a skin tight coating that will not plug or obscure fine casting detail. The flat, neutral gray finish is easy to cover and the surface provides just enough tooth to make figures easier to paint and detail. It also is resistant to cracking or chipping and provides an excellent bond to metal surfaces. It will accept either water or solvent-base paints. Good bye Pactra spray primer, hello Floquil.

PANZERSHIFFES:

New epoxy-resin castings are available prepainted from them. New 1/2400 scale ACW ships including the Union Passail, Neosho, and Benton, and the Confederate Texas and Stonewall. These ships can be used with Yaquinto's popular The Ironclads board game. Four WWII Naval models in 1/2400 scale consist of The Spanish Liberted and The American Patoka, Erie and Chester. Science fiction fans can obtain three new 1/2400 scale spaceships: S-1 Starnought, S-4 Star Cruiser and S-7 Missile Cruiser.
