Rhombusia Campaign

Another Wargame Campaign Started

by Wally Simon

As this month's cover indicates, the Lion of Ostlandt has gone down to defeat before the might of Mareschal Elsworth in the Castle Campaign.

We were tempted to devote an entire issue to this debacle, however, upon learning that General Simon has brought suit before the World Court in The Hague, we decided not to print any material that might prejudice the position of either party.

Our European correspondents tell us that the basis for the Lion's suit has something to do with the viability of the WRG Ancients rules. No doubt that once word spreads of the litigation, many another gamer, who fell victim to the rules as did the Lion, will be clamoring to join the Lion; they will probably all file a huge class action against Phil Barker.

Be that as it may, it is now announced that Simon and Elsworth have started out in yet another campaign. This time both are landing forces on the lush continent of Rhombusia in an attempt to colonize the 8 provinces composing the Rhombusian territory.

Each province's output is valued in terms of supply and commerce points, each required to equip the invading force and placate the indigent population. An injudicious use of asset points and one is faced with a rebellion.

More later on this as the effort develops...
