Home before the Leaves Fall : not much playing here, some folks clearly are dithering on the edge of cutting out the counters, the concept is big and deep, clearly many are not diving in yet. Summary: one to run your fingers over. The Successors: Aesthetics widely praised, but game style not so much. "I had hoped for the best of German games and Britannia, I got neither". Generally thought to be long and not very interactive. Four players not a wise idea. Summary: Wait and see or get your dopey mate to buy it. End of Empire: Getting a lot of flak for errata and smudgy counters. Generally recognised as having some value, although its accurate representation of individual regiments is perhaps not a key requirement of many players. Summary: If you like the AWI in detail give it a try. Schlieffen Plan: Lots of positive comment from the cellophane rippers, not much hard playing opinion Summary: wait and watch Semper Fi: Lots of positive comment about a small Gamers product (effectively lots of scenarios). But it remains a system you either play or do not. Summary: The Gamers' canapés.
