The seas were rough and angry, as if Davey Jone's stomach was a-rumbling', hungry for some sailor's souls. Captain "One-Ball’s” ships waited in the safety of the bay, protected by jagged rocks. At the entrance was a rock outcropping, topped by redoubt and cannons. A veritable fortress it was! Laying siege to this fortress was Mad Anthony Stephens and his fleet. He kept his ships dangerously close to the rocks, trying to avoid fire from the fort. Captain Anthony's flagship, the Cyprinadae, led the assault. It's opening broadside damaged One ball's own flagship, but didn't take her out. The ships then squared off for the duel. The two flagships blasted at each close range after long range combat proved too ineffective. Captain One ball's sloop swung around to double the fire against the Cyprinidae. But that is when Mad Anthony unleashed his secret weapon, a forward firing battery armed with Greek Fire! It blasted the sloop close range, drowning the deck and crew in liquid fire. In a few moments the fire was out, because the sloop was at the bottom of the harbor. On the other side of the bay, One ball's pinnance slammed into the side of Mad Anthony's smallest ship, the Sea Monkey. It was time for One-Ball to unleash a surprise of his own. The ominous sound of boarding hooks clanging down on the deck of the Sea Monkey, was followed by an otherworldly howl! Amongst One-Ball's scurvy crew were Cannibal warrior priests of Umbaanga-banga! These berserkers, renown for their ferocity in battle, took no prisoners. In minutes, the tiny Sea Monkey was taken, and it's crew slaughtered to a man. Mad Anthony’s Sloop wasn't fairing much better. Blown by a fickle wind, she strayed too close to the shore guns. Heavily damaged, her crew being decimated by cannon fire, her Captain, Rebecca Taylor, ordered, "Abandon ship!" Now there was nothing left for Mad Anthony to do but cut losses and leave Scuttler's Bay. He had destroyed one of One-Ball's ships, but left him two replacements. Captains Stephen's was heard to shout " This ain't over One-Ball! I'll ye other ball fer this!" On other parts of the map, Captains Peet and Mathias went at for control of another piece of real estate. Captain Mathias came off with his second victory, after sinking Captain Peet's pinnance in protracted slugfest.
