Welcome one and all to the 34th issue of the Penny Whistle. 1998 is off to a great start with the Lion's Den scheduled to make the annual Twister Con Convention down in Oklahoma City. This will be Twister Con VI. The Lion's Den is going to debut two new racing rules sets for publication. The first is Kevin Smith's Winged Outlaw Sprint Car racing game. The working title thus far is "The Mud, The Blood, and the Thrills." This is a card driven system that allows you to control a 1/64th scale sprint car around a dirt oval track. Yes, you have seen this game at several cons before, but this time you can look under the hood of the beast by buying a set of the rules. They will be published and released at this convention.

The second Auto Racing game is called "Going the Distance". This game features a dice driven mechanism to run NASCAR 1/144th scale Racing Champion die cast collectibles around a variety of asphalt tracks. This game will also be released at this convention. Available for sale from GTD racing. So pick your favorite flavor of racing fuel and go fast turn left!
