Lion's Den Wargames Debut
Mana: The Summoning

Boardgame

On September 21, 1995 Jon and Ken were invited to Table Top Game and Hobby to visit wit a very interested crowd of Magic The Gathering players. The evenings tournament had 32 players competing for a Mox jet and Mox Ruby card. We were given a perfect opportunity to debut the new Mana board game that is our newest title release, Over the course of the eveni we had about twelve different people try the game during our playtest demo. Of the gamers that played, many came back and replayed during the rest of the evening. From the onlookers we heard a number of positive comments. Overall, I think the game was accepted very well by Magic players as a viable and interesting adjunct to the world of magic,

Mana: The Summoning is a game for two players. The two players compete on a square playing surface by placing and maneuvering lifestones into a set of three or "Mana". Once a Mana is summoned, you remove one of the opponents lifestones. The player that reduces the opponent to two stones or immobilized is the winner.

Mana: The Summoning will join the other gaming titles in the Lion's Den catalog under the product code of LDW#080695, The retail price is $6.50. The only material not included in the game that is required for play are 18 lifestones or markers (nine of one color and nine of another.)
