You know, when we speak of the "industry" of wargame publishing, it's a little bit of an exaggeration. The truth is, we are engaged in a fringe activity that only exists because of the dedication and (dare I say) the labors of love of gamers and producers alike. When you write in with game questions, comments and ideas, that fuels our engines and keeps us going. We are here, not just to sell games, but to know our games are played and enjoyed! So it's always good to hear from you... When we began OSG two and a half years ago, the need for a webpage was far down on our list of priorities. However, expectations have changed, the market has changed, and we need to respond to these changes or else! In order to cover the significant one-time costs of redesigning our webpage, we are having a fundraiser, and we have a couple of great premiums to offer: CHRISTOPHER MOELLER ARTIST PRINT Moeller is a well-known and widely-published illustrator, and his work is sought-after by collectors and dealers. We have printed a limited-edition Museum-quality Postcard of his original painting (8.5" x 6.0") of the box cover for "La Guerre de l'Empereur," in the brighter original colors and unretouched. HAND-EMBROIDERED SLEEVE OR JACKET PATCH A gorgeous gold and black rendering of the OSG "Vauban fortress" logo (size by size), made with silk thread on an earth-tone background, 50% larger than it appears on our 2" game boxes. YOUR CONTRIBUTION IS IMPORTANT Your contribution will be used --only-- for updating our webpage. The new page will become a forum for a real nuts & bolts discussion of all the outstanding historical questions of the Napoleonic era and wargame design, and will allow us to get a lot more new and interesting articles and information on the web for you. We have tons of material just waiting, more than we could ever print in our magazine. ACT NOW! We have ordered limited quantities of the print and the patch, so please don't delay. Choose one of the following three contribution levels:
Strategic contributors will receive the artist print *and* the embroidered sleeve patch. Operational contributors will receive the artist print. All contributors will get the satisfaction of knowing that they are helping insure a continual flow of news & information between Kevin Zucker and friends of OSG. As a contributor your name will be spotlighted on our Fund Raiser page on the web. Sincerely, Kevin Zucker ................................................................
