La Guerre De L'Empereur
2nd Edition Rules

Progress Report

by Kevin Zucker

The Designer's Notes have reached their 15th draft, and are finally beginning to get somewhere. Jay Olsen has done a completely fantasitic job on the rules themselves, bringing in the FAQ and re-editing. The rules in their ninth draft now run to 25 pages. The alphabetical subject Index of topics adds 3 pages, showing each case number in which the item is mentioned. At the moment Chris Moeller is working with his long-time editor, Dan Raspler, cropping some of the extensive new text and replacing it with a more relaxed commentary explaining the design intent. Next in line, Chris will finish the Player's Notes and British strategy notes, while Dan has taken-on the French.

Once these two items are finished, the rules folder will go to press. We do expect to have the new folders available at Origins on July 2nd.
