Origins 2005 and Zuckerpalooza 2005

by Kevin Zucker

Origins 2005 (June 29 - July 2)

Mr. Zucker's Seminars in the War College are as follows. Room and Schedules haven't been announced.

1. Proposed Invasion of England, 1805
Could Napoleon have conquered Britain? A look at Moral, Political, Naval and Military aspects. Can we assume Wellington would have been withdrawn from Spain to command? (1.5 hrs.)

2. Exit Strategy
A non-political look at the logistics of withdrawal for U.S. and Coalition forces in Iraq. If politicians decide on a rather sudden withdrawal, is Centcom ready? (1:30)

3. Rating the Leaders
Initiative, Command Ratings, and Subordination: Who can judge subjectively? We can only take a look at actual job performance. Why just these three categories? Inspiration and other measures are a part of it. (1 hr., 30 min.)

4. Battles of 1812
A statistical look at the battles of the Russian campaign, comparing numbers of men engaged, and lost, in each of the 94 battles, combats, and skirmishes of 1812. Project will be to plot all these, and look for patterns. (90 minutes.)

"The Fog of War" (aka Zuckerpalooza / Adamarama)

We have made initial contacts with Wagner College, on Staten Island, New York, regarding hosting a gaming weekend sometime in the next year. We had to drop plans for July 8-9-10 because of pressing commitments. We'd like to hear from you if you are interested in attending an event on Staten Is.
