April 2003

by Kevin Zucker

SUN OF AUSTERLITZ IS NOW IN STOCK AND WE ARE ASSEMBING THE FIRST 100 COPIES TODAY

We began assembling and shipping the new game today, April 22nd, 2003. We have 900 games to ship (including 300 pre-orders) so we will be busy shipping for at least a month. If you would like us to expedite your pre-order, let us know by email. Thank you all for your patience and understanding. We will strive to get back onto a regular production schedule, perhaps by putting two games into production at once in order to catch up.

Interesting Poll from Consimworld To the question, 'For 2002, how many new gamers have you introduced to the hobby?' poll results indicates that for every 100 gamers answering, 75 new gamers were introduced. Assuming that the group of those answering brought in a disproportionate share of the new recruits, it still appears that wargaming has achieved some replacements, and the hobby may even be growing worldwide. Good introductory games like 'We the People' and, I hope, 'La Guerre,' may be helping.
