From: "John Jefferies" Happily awaiting completion of HtK. I am of the camp that prefers you to take your time and get it right, so no pressure from here. On another, albeit related topic; I am currently solatairing your latest edition of "Leipzig", the so-called 'Gold' edition published by CoA about 5 yrs ago. I think I have all 3 editions, but this is the first time I've really dug into it this deeply. I've emailed CoA concerning some ambiguities in the rules (after all, I bought it from them just a few months ago). But I wonder whether it should be you, as the real desgner, that I should be asking? [Editor sez: The rules allow the Prussian and Swedish brigades to integrate by Corps. Charging cavalry units count as the qualifying unit for Combined Arms, whether the charge was successful or not. Thanks for enjoying NaL!] Will hold off on further purchases for a bit; and let my smoking wallet recover from recent visit to Cold Wars at Lancaster, Pa. Will there be further games in the Leipzig system in the near future? Best wishes for the success of your re-entry into the game publishing biz. You fill a distinct gap. From: Jeffrey Vandine You can sign me up for Highway to the Kremlin (I LOVE the Napoleon at Bay system!). The only thing I ask is for you all to keep in the back of your minds, some day, some way, maybe linking all of these together for the ultimate monster game! Hell, the maps alone would be worth the price of admission! The next thing to do is see if I could talk you into considering the central european front for 1805, '06, '07, and '09. Add to that your Bonaparte in Italy series (or a reissued one on the 10 miles per hex scale) and you're at the 80% solution right there! Given HTTK, add a couple of maps for peripheral adventures in Czarist Russia, add in France and the low countries -- there's another four of more maps ;-) -- and throw in some expanded areas in Italy and Austria and bingo, you've got the game I'm talking about! [Editor sez: Jeffrey, you make it all sound so easy!] Of course now comes the OB and all the other rules necessary to recreate a twenty year struggle and you're talking some real work! Just FYI, I've loved your work ever since the good old days at SPI. I've been playing wargames since 1967 (Afrika Korps was my first), and have always ranked you as one of the greats in wargame design. Keep those wargames coming!
