Subject: Bonaparte in Italy

Just read through the rules and I have the following comments.

Define capture in rule 127 of the exclusive rules, as Mantova starts owned by Austria. 'Recapture' would be better, or do you count opening a LOC to it?

What if you force march a friendly force into a hex with a concentrated force next to the enemy who then attack. Do they get a modifier? if so what?

173 Exclusive Rules. I think this should be with 4+ SP otherwise you can use an unemployed named leader to pop into Mantova ignoring ZofCs and he carries 4 months supplies on his back!

How (other than pursuit) can you capture a bridge train? If there are SP with the leader you can't enter and if the leader is alone he may well displace taking the train with him? Can you repulse a train?

Off Map movement. Any attrition? if so how much?

Forage penalty on the CRT implies that the 2 column shift applies to an attacker as well. I must admit I fail to see why an attacker is not affected.

On the replacement table a roll of 0 or less seems to result in a negative number. Does this mean that the Austrians have to deduct troops? if so how?

I still think that a force whose ZofC you retreat through should inflict double losses only up to 2 times its strength eg two points 4 losses extra.
