In an effort to break the logjam of Gamers titles trying to make it out MMP's door, I've set a series of yearly deadlines for submissions from the Honchos to me. Once I get it, my job consists of going over the game carefully, doing the pre-printing artwork and making sure the game is ready to go out the door the same day as it goes on Pxxx (so that in the event the game makes its number the next morning I could send it to the printer). This process started in January 2004 with the first submissions due in June 2004 (I had to give the Honchos some time to get ramped up). The first games were due in from CWB (Strike them a Blow), NBS (Talavera) and SCS (Guadalajara). As I'm typing this, STAB is now on Pxxx (finished) and I'm going onto the finishing of the other two. Next summer (June 2005), these series will owe me another game and so on. In December, the remaining series (TCS) has its submission due, which in this case will be GD'42 and the long awaited TCS v4.0 rules. Where does that leave the RSS you ask? Well, as Bob Cloyd is Honcho for both systems, he has his choice of submitting either a CWB or RSS title as his submission each year. The OCS is still my baby and I'm working hard to get it into the same framework as the other series, but until I can put Case Blue to bed, it will not be running the same schedule as the others. The goal here is to give the Honchos a framework they can count on so they are not wandering aimlessly; not sure if they are moving too fast or moving too slow to get the job done right. Plus it will help their motivation to see the games coming out the other end. If any readers have ever had any interest in game design or in any other help of the Honchos, now is the time to volunteer.
