ConQuest 2000

A Photo Essay

by Mark Ruggiero

Mark Ruggiero sent these photos from ConQuest 2000, where he served as Board Games Directory. He reports that out of 1,000 attendees, 300 were boardgamers and 150 genuine wargamers. That's good representation at an event that draws all sorts of gamers.

Some of the highlights were Sicily, This Hallowed Ground, and Enemy at the Gates. EatG drew lots of interest, but the crew there, including Perry Andrus, used Sicily to teach the OCS.

The convention included scores of miniatures, role-playing, and boardgaming events. From among all those, Enemey at the Gates was one of eight "Premiere Tournament" events.

By the time you read this, HomerCon West will have concluded. Here's wishing Mark and everyone involved in that another success. -- the editor
