Highway to the Kremlin is entering pre-press production in November, getting the rules in shape, formatting the counter mix, getting everything ready for the artist and then printer. To render this two-map game supremely manageable we have scaled-up from the NAB system: Corps, not divisions, are the basic combat unit (5,000, not 1,000 men per Strength Point). Counter density on map will be low. Named Marshals act like Major Generals; Vedettes and March units are division-sized, etc. Hexes are 10 mi. and Turns are 10 days. We are waiting for your pre-order to put this on the press. If you have already ordered it, talk to a friend. Pre-advanced price only $38.

We are happy to see how well Bonaparte in Italy has been received. I hope everyone has played the game by now. There are many new features, not least of which is the paragraphindex. (We are keeping this feature for HTK.) Please send us some feedback and let us know if we are on the right track. I want to thank everyone for subscribing to Wargame Design.

'The best kept secret in wargaming' is beginning to attract more attention. Games Magazine has just selected Last Days of the Grande Armee for the prestigious (and exclusive) "Games 100" list for 2001. Only five of these hundred were wargames: one each from GMT, OSG, Decision, Clash of Arms, and Avalon Hill. The list is printed annually by Games Magazine. Go directly to the Funagain Games site to view the entire list, http://kumquat.com/cgi-kumquat/funagain/2001games100?J5EeGKAo;;189

[Ed. note: Yes, gang, that's the actual URL.]

Our success is only because of you, the players. Thanks.

Strategic contributors will receive a limited edition, signed & numbered copy of the Deluxe edition of Napoleon at Bay. Operational & Tactical contributors will receive the Christopher Moeller battle print.

Important Ordering Information

Please note that OSG has changed its order fulfillment provider. Fax your direct orders to (410) 729-1312. Order handling is now courtesy of Multi-Man Publishing. Of course, you can order currently available titles through the Consortium as well.

OSG has proposed a number of game projects. Which games are published when depends on the response to pre-pub offers. For full details and to place your orders, contact OSG (see the contact information on page 20) or visit the web site, www.napoleongames.com.
