Clash of Arms

If you're on the CoA mailing list, you should have received a full-color brochure with a listing of currently available games and pre-publication offers for La Bataille d'Orthez, designed by Eric Lyons, and Brandywine & Germantown, designed by Richard Kane. Orthez features WIlington versus Soult in Spain and uses the most up-to-date La Bataille rules, derived from those in Lutzen. Brandywine & Germantown applies the Battles of the Age of Reason series to the American Revolution. By the time you read this, the pre-pub period will be up for Orthez, but you'll be able to order Brandywine& Germantown at the reduced price till 1 March 2001. Contact Clash of Arms about pre-pubs, and remember that you can order CoA games through the Consortium.

Moments in History

Velikye Luke: Little Stalingrad of the North is available. This game uses the system Dirk Blenneman introduced in Turning the Tables (also used in Drive to the Baltic'). These are smaller games (around one map, one countersheet) with easy-to-learn rules, but they show plenty of innovative and interesting design work.

By the time you read this, Tobruk: Silver Anniversary Edition will most likely be available as well. For the latest word on availability of this game and other announced MiH titles, call The Gamers.

Udo Grebe Game Design

Blitzkrieg General has seen a lot of action in Homer, and it looks like a lot of fun. Also, Udo has Cold Days in Hell counter images available for download from the UGG web site; see www.UGG.de/cdcounters/cdzip.htm.
