The following appears on the Consimworld web site at http://www.consimworld.com/community/csr_awards_form.html. As this issue of Operations goes to press, we do not have the PDF version of the ballot nor a postal address for submitting written ballots. Therefore, it looks as if, to make your votes count, you should cast them through the web site. Doing so is certainly the easiest and most convenient way to handle the voting, both for you and for John Kranz, who operates Consimworld and directs the CSR Awards. If you have e-mail but no web access (it's possible), prepare an e-mail message with your votes, according to the instructions below, and send them to kranz@consimworld.com. Finally, John wants to accept ballots by postal mail (see below), but as of April he still has to determine a reliable address where he can collect them. If you send ballots to last year's address, they may not be tabulated in time for the awards. He's working hard to make this year's awards a success; his schedule may prevent him from tabulating mailed-in ballots in time. Here's that address, for reference, but remember to vote on-line, if possible, for the reasons I've described here. John Kranz
ConsimWorld.COM is pleased to present the Official Online Awards Ballot for the Charles S. Roberts Awards for the calendar year 1999. Please list three titles or names in each category; the five titles/names receiving the most votes in each category will be declared the nominees.; and the title/name receiving the most votes overall in each category declared the winner. The winners will receive their CSR Awards at the World Boardgaming Championships 2000. New categories for 1999! We have added best DTP-published boardgame and magazine-published boardgame to the balloting. We've added amateur DTP-produced designs in recognition of the many new game titles appear under this publishing format. We've added Magazine-Published Boardgames since these titles have often been unable to compete on equal footing with boxed boardgames. We will release an Acrobat PDF version of this online ballot shortly, that you may elect to use to submit your vote by regular post. We also encourage you to tell your friends to visit ConsimWorld.COM to place their online ballot, or print out and distribute the PDF version for those not connected to the Internet. We thank you for submitting your official ballot. ConsimWorld.COM will announce the five title/names receiving the most votes overall in each category at the end of June. First Name
