at Moments in History

by Dave Demko with Uli Blennemann

Half a year ago, the Moments in History newsletter announced that MiH would have to cut back its publishing schedule quite a bit. "The market right now is too insecure - three major distributors went under in 1998. In addition, apart from a 'coregroup' of gamers, few people seem to be interested in games not covering the most well-known battles and campaigns. Moreover, I will now be concentrating more fully on my real job, being a historian."

Then in January, Critical Hit announced it was acquiring Moments in History, with the intention "to keep Moments in History in the marketplace as a division of CH," according to a Critical Hit press release. Uli Blennemann is still on board and looking forward publishing many games and marketing them through distributor/retailer channels. Specifically, plans include:

Royal Tank Corps -- The Battle for Cambrai, 1917, designed by Ted Raicer, to be available this summer Grand Illusion: The 1914 Campaign in the West, also by Ted Raicer.
