You can modify GB to try out the new rules, specifically the turn sequence and supply rules, right now (so as to give me more informed feedback, if nothing else). Here's what to do: Weather. Roll for flight each turn, BUT only change conditions if the roll calling for the change occurs on an odd turn. Reinforcements. Bring these on according to the schedule turn 1= 1, turn 3=2 and so on. Reinforcing Supply. Roll on the table as before, but subtract the following from the result: Germans subtract 20 points, for the Russians subtract 40 points. Rail Cap:Divide each side's rail capacity by 2. Mass Surrenders: Use the new Attrition Table, do not use the Mass Surrender rules. Set Up. The same as scenario 8, except each Panzer Division gets 2 points of Organic trucks and each German Motorized Division gets one point of Organic trucks. Adjust all Soviet Dumps to 40% of their current value. Leave German dumps the same as they are in the scenario. You'll also want to prepare some 5-point truck/wagon units with extenders on the back side to use during play. Be sure to give the above at least a quick run through before drawing any conclusions about the above rules changes-the results may surprise you. Be sure to report your results to me ... all that additional playtesting and comment will be good for the series and you'll get a playtesting credit as well. Remember, time is short, so if you want your comments to count (or at least give me time to react), work quickly ! Good gaming.
