Hello, and yes, it have been a long time with school and shift work taking there tolls. Most affected is my gaming, with miniatures on my painting table collecting dust, a sad sight indeed! I did get a day off on Friday to make it up to Lancaster, PA, the Mecca of miniature wargaming, to the HMGS COLD WARS convention. Checkout John Staffords report. Picked up some great buys at the flea market and dealers room. A hint to the Sf and fantasy miniature gamers; You can pick up great deals at the historical gaming shows, like 50% off GW miniatures and pick up a Battletech figures for a buck or two. So make plans for HISTORICON in July. I have finished my tour with HMGS COLD WARS and I have come away less than happy. Although the convention staff and volunteers do a great job, the inner politics and grumbling make it almost unbearable and I am glad to wash my hands. I am sorry to say that I would not recommend it to anybody. I hope NOVAG keeps the course of informal and FRIENDLY. In a few months school should be wrapping up and dedicate more time to the hobby. Speaking of conventions, our GAMECon 12 is coming up May 8 and I hope everyone can make it. We have a web site at: http://members.wbs.net/homepages/n/o/v/novag.html (a little long but hey, its free), with info on our conventions until we get the official web site on line. This newsletter works only as well as its support from its members. Ya, I sound like a PBS fund raiser but it is so true. John McConnell is willing to put the newsletter together so its up to the members to send in articles. Lets all pledge one article a year and fill those pages. See you all at a gaming table soon! Happy Gaming.
