Hello again! As the time draws near for one of the largest miniatures conventions in North America (if not the world), I encourage all of you who are even remotely interested in miniatures to attend. Those of you who have been to "Cold Wars" in the past know what I am talking about, and for those of you who have not seen the vendor area in person, well, let's just say there is more to look at, ponder over, and possibly buy than you could ever imagine! Not to mention the chance to play in games that cover the historical and futuristic time periods, plus games for people of all ages! While it's possible to buy almost everything you need at these conventions, it's our local game and hobby shops that really support US. We can take for granted that they will have some items in stock that we want, and can order much more through various catalogs. But they also provide us a place to meet with fellow gamers. And space to set up games for our enjoyment. Not to mention the discount that most of them give us when we do make purchases there. Our local shops need our support, if they are to continue to be able to provide all these benefits for us. Our club is sponsoring a one-day Gamecon on the 8th of May -- now I know that seems a long way off for us to think about, but if you are considering running a game then, you may want to contact our event coordinator very soon. Table space will be at a premium, and we hope to have a full house for this event! That's about all for this issue. Have fun gaming, and we'll see you at "Cold Wars"!
