Bring in More Clowns

The Election Bios

By Bob & Cleo Liebl

Your present NOVAG BoD consists of the following officers:
President: John Camarano
Vice President: Walt O’Hara
Treasurer: Bob Liebl
Secretary: John McConnell
Member @ Large: Roxanne Patton
Unelected Volunteers:
Newsletter Editor: Cleo Liebl
Gamecon 19 Convention Director: Mike Burns

Roxanne has decided not to run for office this year. She was a powerful force in the rejuvenation of NOVAG, which has occurred over the past two years, and we will miss her leadership and guidance. Hopefully, we will still get her help…from time to time.

The following individuals have sent in their Bios for election to the NOVAG Board of Directors.

Cleo Liebl:

I’ve been wargaming for the past 12 years, which is to say ever since I joined up with Bob & his two sons. It’s fun! I’ve raised my own armies (women with their clothes on) and written my own rules for games such as my AMAZON game. I’ve been a gamemaster at Gamecon, HMGS Cons, and the HAWKS con. I’ve helped run Gamecon for the past several years as a volunteer, and have edited the NOVAG Newsletter this past year.

Bob Liebl:

I have been playing organized wargames for 40 years, prior to which I was pretty disorganized, but still having fun. I have been a gamemaster at Gamecon, the HAWKS Con, and all HMGS Cons for the past 12 years. I game in everything from the ancients to moderns. While I try to be apolitical, I do not succeed in restraining my sense of humor. As a politician, I promise you absolutely nothing. If you are a member, you’ve seen the Newsletter for the past two years, and can judge me best from what I’ve already done.

Mike Burns:

I have been playing wargames for over 30 years. I started playing historical miniatures a few years after I started playing board games. My historical interests are ancients, American Civil War and World War II. I have been game master at our events and other conventions. I recently volunteered to run the next Gamecon in September. I realize the previous sentence could make one wonderabout my sanity. I am running for the BoD to have an influence on how the Gamecon is conducted. Also, I want to see the club grow in the DC area.
