The Children’s Crusade

When we went on the crusades, the AVERAGE age of the crusaders was 16. While that may be young to go to war, con­sider that, as an average, there were many who were much younger. Of course, the young are always bet­ter in war, since they fail to recognize their own mortal­ity, and they roll better dice.

There was also some-thing called the Children’s Crusade. Some Papal Twinkie thought the children could triumph, since the young were with­out sin. The kids marched off, only to be sold as slaves by the Italian mer­chants who delivered them.
