The Gamer’s Closet Mail Bag

Letters to the Editor

By the readers

As part of a personal letter to us, Donald Featherstone wrote as follows:

“I was also interested in your personal article, STEAL THESE RULES, dealing with Skirmish Wargaming. I knew Mike Blake, Ian Colwill, and Steve (now dead) who devised them years ago, and see Mike quite often. He is possibly coming with me to America if I manage to make the trip again in 2002. I enclose a couple of my own Skirmish game rules and hope you find them interesting. I can assure you they work very well!”

Our thanks go out to Mike Blake, Ian Colwill, and Steve for creating the basis of the rules we included in the Fall Issue of NOVAG’s GAMER’S CLOSET, and we will include both of Donald Featherstone’s Skirmishing Wargame Rules Sets in our next issue. He has given us a set for the War of the American Revolution, and one for World War II as well. From our talks with Don, we happen to know that he served in World War II in the Western Desert, so he has first hand knowledge of World War II.
