New Stuff at NOVAG 1. NOVAG's discussion group on Yahoogroups, type in NOVAGList 2. Our store club sponsors are hurting from the attacks on Sept 11, including sales and people stopping to game. Members need to get out and support our hobby stores. 3. We also have a program called "Club Association Program" or CAP. details on our web page NEW and IMPROVED! No, NOVAG will not whiten your teeth or brighten your clothes. However, we will try to make your gaming experiences better. After all we are here for you, the membership. In August a new Board of Directors took over. I know I speak for all of the Board when I say thank you to the previous Board for all of their hard work and efforts. The new Board decided it is time to take NOVAG in a new direction. It is time to breathe some fresh air into the conventions, and it is time to increase the membership. We are a club dedicated to all forms of gaming, and we will be unveiling a convention full of gaming opportunities in March. As always there will be miniatures, but there will be an increased presence of card games, board games, and tournaments for the board games as well. There will also be role-playing events with the designers of several of the games present and running demos of their games. But wait there is more! There promises to be an increased presence of vendors for your shopping convenience. The new Board has been busy bringing attention to our little club as well. You should notice an increase of colorful advertisements in your favorite hobby shop and recruitment booths at several area conventions. We have also made contact with several smaller gaming clubs in the area and invited them to participate in our conventions. We feel that the more people we can bring in, the more gaming opportunities there will be for our members. Earlier I mentioned the flyers. We felt that we not only needed to draw attention to the conventions, but to add a little fun as well. To do this we decided to put a theme to the March convention. Matinee at the Movies!! After all, our conventions are cheaper than a matinee plus they last all day. We also have a surprise in store for all of you movie buffs, but you will just have to come and see it for yourself. Finally, we are trying to improve communications between the Board and the membership. To facilitate this we have instituted several means of communicating with us. There is of course our web page, but we have also added a yahoogroup for more back and forth communications. Are we NEW and IMPROVED? I guess you will just have to come out in March and see for yourselves. I know you will be pleased. Dues Notice: We have some confusion about who paid their dues at the last Gamecon. If you have paid your dues, please contact John Camerone. If you haven't paid your dues, shame on you. Go to page 34, and join! B&C Membership Like what you see?
