Place: Wargamers Hobby in Sterling.
Items needed: Nothing
Getting tired of those land-bound combats, well here's the answer to your woes. So come on by and feed some sharks (whether you are the feeder or the food kind of depends on how well you play).

Saturday, 27 Feb, 12:00 - Fantasy Battles
Place: Game Parlor in Sully place shopping center
Items needed: A 25mm Fantasy army and some dice.
This is a reschedule of the game originially scheduled for 20 Feb in the last newsletter. Oops, my fault (fat fingers, microscopic keyboard) ... Ed

Sunday, 28 Feb, 1:00 - Boxer Rebellion
Place: Wargamers Hobby in Sterling.
Items needed: Some 25mm legation/boxers if you got'em if not show up anyway.
A 25mm skirmish game set during the Chinese boxer rebellion. We will be using a fast and simple set of home grown rules, come on by.

Saturday, 13 Mar, 12:00 - DBA Tournament
Place: Game Parlor in Sully place shopping center
Items needed: A 15mm DBA army, dice, and a ruler.
The mother of all DBA tournaments with $100 in prizes and trophies being awarded. This tournament is being sponsored by Mark Barlow, the Game Parlor and NOVAG. Space is limited to the first 24 gamers who sign-up (sign-up sheet is at the game parlor) it is recommended you sign-up sooner than later. The prizes will be awarded to the top three players and are in the form of Games Parlor gift certificates to the tune of $50/$30/$20 in addition to trophies. The monthly NOVAG meeting will be held at 6:00 after the game, so come by for the game and stay for the meeting.

Saturday, 27 Mar, 12:00 - Hordes of the Things
Place: Wargamers Hobby in Sterling.
Items needed: A 25mm Hordes of the things army, some dice and a ruler.
A fantasy miniatures game using the Hordes of the Things rules. For more details ask Del at Wargamers.

Saturday, 10 Apr,, 12:00 - Napoleon in Prussia
Place: Game Parlor in Sully place shopping center
Items needed: Nothing required, but a ruler or tape measure would help.
A fictitious battle between French and Prussian forces during the 1813 Campaign. Rules used will be Napolcons battles.

Saturday, 17 Apr, 11:00 - On to Brussels, 1815
Place: Wargamers Hobby in Sterling.
Items needed: Good eyesight (it's a 6mm game)
A what-if scenario set in 1815 using the Napoleon's battles system and 6mm Adler figures. A French army, led by Napoleon himself, is making it's way towards Brussels after brushing aside the Prussians. The only thing that can stop him is the British army, led by Wellington. Although Wellington's army has been reinforced by British units not historically present, her Allies have abandoned the British after the report of Napoleon's fast approach. Can the British stop Napoleon? Or is this Wellington's "Waterloo"?

Sunday, 24 Apr, 12:00 - ACW in the west
Place: Game Parlor in Sully place shopping center
Items needed. Nothing
A fictitious engagement set in the western campaign of the American Civil War. Rules used will be Fire and Fury.

Regular Events

DBA players
It appears that the regular Monday night DBA games are still going on at the Game Parlor. The games usually start at around 7:30 in the evening and if you are thinking about getting into ancient or medieval miniatures this ruleset is the way to go. l urge you to stop by and play a game or two.

Boxer Rebellion
No I'm not referring to professional athletes going on strike, I'm talk'n bout angry Chinese. Every Tuesday night at Wargamers hobby shop a 25mm skirmish boxer Rebellion game is played using a home grown rules set. The rules are quick, simple and easy to team. So bring some troops and join in, it's a blast.
