Leaditorial

New Miniatures 1993

by Doshu Tokeshi

Howdee and hello, Doshu Tokeshi here again for yet another Leaditorial. Forgive me, my back hurts and I am in a mean mood. First, lets observe Citadel/Games Workshop one of their figures their "Ork Warlord Ghazghkull" was released. The blister pack contained the infamous "Ghazghkull" (approximately 28-29mm tall) and his servant peon (approximately 20mm tall), carrying a large banner pole. These TWO figures we priced at $8.50 a packl What a deall (yeah right) Definitely a Doshu Tokeshi thumbs DOWN. No two figures are worth $4.25 each.

Now on the brighter side I have in my hands VMF 5 Infantry w/pole arms, the new Revenge line produced by Old Glory, distributed solely by Emperors headquarters. These beauties are 25mm, running 20 foot figures a bag for $15.00, an excellent deal. Actually, these are the old Hotspur Medievals that were sculpted by the late Dave Alsop but it is nice to see these out in circulation again. From what I can see here are at least 10 different poses/styles of dress. There should be no worries about a same pose army. One minor drawback, these are not fully compatible with Essex 25's. But with the variety of poses in each bag, an all revenge army will not only be beautiful but varied, and at a good price too. Well, that's all for now, until next time, later.
