7th Sea Fan Club

by Russ Lockwood

We received the following press release.--RL

Back To The Wall Productions, L.L.C. has partnered with Alderac Entertainment Group to give away memberships to the 7th Sea Fan club. Winners of these prizes will receive a year's subsciption to the Secret Society of their choice.

The story of 7th Sea is being told in many forms. The CCG is the tale of the Pirate Captains and their crews; the 7th Sea RPG is the story of the Seven Nations, their rise to power, and their fall from grace; and a 7th Sea Miniatures Game will follow, with a very different story (which you'll just have to wait to see). Meanwhile, the Secret Societies of Theah have different goals from all the rest. They have unique agendas that oppose the Kings, Queens, Pirates, and Scoundrels of Theah.

Just as a Hero's membership in a Guild or Secret Society is not mandatory, neither is membership in AEG's 7th Sea Fan Club. Heroes and players that pass on the opportunity to belong to such a prestigious group, however, miss an entirely different layer of the story – behind the scenes, beneath the streets, and between the shadows. Unlike the open wars on the surface, the Secret Societies wage personal vendettas and honorable duels with some of Theah's most important people.

Each of the Secret Societies is managed and maintained by a different individual at AEG. Each, using a persona in the story, sends out update letters to society members, detailing portions of their story from the perspective of their group. Initiates will receive faction secrets, important missions, and detailed information that only those loyal to your cause should know.

Members of the Secret Societies will have the opportunity to affect the official timeline of 7th Sea, particularly in their Secret Society's main area of influence. They will have the opportunity to attend members-only events at conventions, and might even get invited to world-shaking events at GenCon, or perhaps see their character in a official 7th Sea release.

This is the chance to affect the world you game in, a chance to do it for free.
