We received the following news release.--RL "An army marches on its stomach' - Do you know the sources of the famous expression? We are seeking the source of this famous quotation, in connection with a new encyclopedia to be published by us next Spring. The new encyclopedia is THE GREENHILL DICTIONARY OF MILITARY QUOTATIONS, and researches by the compiler of this new encyclopedia, Peter Tsouras, cannot get past generalised attributions made in the nineteenth century to both Napoleon and Frederick the Great. We are hoping that somebody out there can provide a specific attribution. This is such a famous quotation that we would like to think that somebody has researched it, and possibly even published a discussion of its source. Your help with a specific attribution would be most welcome. If you can advise on this, please send your information directly to Peter Tsouras, with a copy to Greenhill: Peter Tsouras ptsouras@bellatlantic.net
