Last Days of the Grande Armee

Board Wargame

by Russ Lockwood

We received the following press release.--RL

Operational Studies Group has just published "Last Days of the Grande Armee". And I thought you'd like to know.

Why? Because you have written to me in the past either with game questions, an order inquiry or even a request for assistance in historical research.

As you may know, we have ceased selling our products to the distributors who provide new product to the stores. Therefore this game is not going to show up at your local retailer, unless he is one who took the initiative to order games directly from OSG and Clash of Arms.

I have always been committed to gamers and those who enjoy the exploration of history through games. I take great pride in approaching games from a historical perspective that simulates many of the operational challenges faced by the commanders of the time. "Last Days of the Grande Armee" focuses on those days in June 1815 when Napoleon embarked on his last fateful campaign that ended at Waterloo.

The printer has just notified me that the maps are being printed tomorrow. And our warehouse should begin shipping the next day.

The price is $36.

"Last Days of the Grande Armee" is the third in a series using this game system. "Six Days of Glory" covered the 1814 campaign and "1806: Rossbach Avenged", which covered the Jena-Auerstadt campaign. Both games have been well-received, and one review of "1806" is posted on the osg website. Further games in the series will include the Italian campaigns, and the opening phase of the 1809 campaign.
