Ancients miniatures players are an unruly lot--the debates over the historical accuracy of rule sets such as WRG 7th, DBA/DBM, Armati, Tactica, Ancient Warfare, and Classical Hack are legendary. The single AD scenario, Mons Graupius 83AD, is by Russ Lockwood--one of the seven authors who contributed scenarios, narrative, or rules suggestions. The historical account of Mons Graupius is in the War Lore section of MagWeb. The artwork on the cover of Scenarios Rome is by Peter Connolly. The scenarios' army lists are all programmed for the Hack system, but can be refined for different systems. Each includes a tactical map for set up and placement, along with any special scenario rules. Classical Hack: Scenarios Rome costs $18.95 and may be ordered direct from LMW Works, PO Box 844, Amherst, NY 14226. The Classical Hack web site is at:
