An error has been discovered in the Melee section of Fix Bayonets! proving that some obvious things just get by everyone. This should have been changed when FB officially moved away from a hit chart to determine casualties. This is the new section, and replaces the paragraph in the Melee Section, First Paragraph: "......Melee ("may-lay") is hand-to-hand combat using 2d6 +1d6 for each stand greater than the enemy, and Melee Modifiers to calculate casualties. ...." For those who have the most recent version of the rules, here is an attached Adobe Acrobat file of that page, corrected. I do not think the layout will be the same for those who have received the rules prior to August 1998. Please submit all corrections and other discoveries or comments as soon as possible. You should all be aware that the video on Wargames with Historic Miniatures is delayed, that the discs of Scenarios and maps is progressing, along with a disc in MSWorks database of scenarios, games sheets, Brigade File Cards etc. Company Command (WWII rules) and Legions and Lions,/B> are nearing final completion. Thanks for all your commentary and feedback. In Illinois, Fix Bayonets! has received extremely good reviews. Some of you will no doubt realize that I am not responsible for the binding of the rules... I am having to rely on others to produce them and am consistently not satisifed. I am making attempts to purchase my own binding machine. You should be able to go to any Kinko's, Alphagraphics or Office Max Printer to open the book and insert any pages in the future. You need only make a copy of the page that has no change backed-up against the changed page, then have the copy person punch and insert the new page. This effort will keep your book free of scribbles and notations. I realize the urge to make copies on your own of the rules, and simply would remind you that only those with registered copies will obtain any updates by mail and utilize any features of the website when those features are created. There are many exciting things happening at Strategic Systems and to make a long story short you'll just have to keep your eyes and ears open and visit the website over the holiday season a little more often so you can keep up. I will try to keep things going but frankly I am getting a little tired of computer problems that aren't my fault and the problem of finding consistent quality, but I have tried my best. At Kit-Con in Elgin, Illinois, Legions & Lions met with great reviews as the Romans kicked a little Greek/Egyptian rear end. Little Wars is March in Rochelle, Illinois south of Rockford.
