We received the following press release.--RL The main goal was to show teachers the applications for using such simulations in the classroom as teaching aids. For this purpose I have arranged for teachers to come on one day and participate in simulations run by members of HMGS--to let them see for themselves how these can work to enrich their student's lives and expand their interests in history. Here is a list of some exhibits being shown. MINIATURES Marathon, Teutonbergwald, Agincourt, Hastings, Battle of the Sand Storm, Hatin, Bosworth, Sekigahara, Trafalgar, Pavia, Marston Moor, Kunnersdorf, Brandywine, Leipzig,Chippewa, Alamo, Buena Vista, Balaclava, Petersburg, Picket's Charge, Battery Wagner, Memphis, Isandhlwana, Omdurman, Little Big Horn, San Juan Hill, Marne,D-day, Midway, Kasserine Pass, Tarawa, Bulge, Pork Chop Hill, Air Cav in Vietnam, Desert Storm I did say there was artifacts. Besides the usual items like flintlocks and pistols there are several items being shown that highlight the exhibition as outstanding. I am sure many of you will like to come to just see some of them. On opening day, which is scheduled for Oct 22, I believe there will be a formal 'grand opening'. Ed has told me that he is bringing Ted Crosby, some veterans from Cassino, 442nd, and Bulge with him to speak. I invite you all to come down and see the show.
