Announces the Shipment of Sid Meier’s Civilization: The Boardgame Plainfield, IL – October 2, 2002 – Eagle Games, a Chicago area publisher of high-end strategy boardgames, announced today that it has begun shipping the much anticipated boardgame version of the classic PC game Sid Meier’s Civilization. Sid Meier’s Civilization: The Boardgame is shipping to retailers and distributors throughout North America and Europe. Retailers who will be carrying the game include Comp-USA, Wizards of the Coast, Gamekeepers, Hastings, MediaPlay, Borders, Walden Books, FAO Schwarz, and many fine independent game and hobby stores. The game allows players to play one of the greatest PC strategy games of all time face-to-face against friends and family. The 3-D pieces and beautiful artwork make the game come alive!
