We received the following press release: --RL Warlord KJC Games, the largest Play-by-Mail company in Europe, having completed upgrading their website have announced that their wargame Warlord is to be re-coded to accommodate email and auto processing. The game still remains popular among hardcore wargamers, so this venture is welcomed by those that are impressed by strategy, long term planning and alliances rather than pretty graphics and fast thumbs. The new name 'Phoenix: Beyond the Stellar Empire' is representative of the game rising from the ashes of the old code. The space opera tends to appeal to mature people and generally draws its player base from both wargamers and seasoned roleplayers. KJC believe that by introducing auto-inputting, the vastly reduced pricing structure will increase the player base. Current players are likely to form the all important backbone of the new game, organising new players and distributing warfleets, merchant vessels and starbases.
