Through Footless Halls of Air

Canadian book on WWII

by Russ Lockwood

We received the following press release--RL

Re: new edition Through Footless Halls of Air: Stories of a Few of the Many Who Failed to Return. The above titled book (ISBN 1-896182-44-5), originally published in 1996 by General Store Publishing House in Burnstown, Ontario, Canada, will be re-released at the end of November by the same publisher. It will be a slightly revised new edition (3rd printing). Errata from the first edition have been incorporated and a change made to the back cover. During the past few weeks 12 daily newspapers across Canada have carried my feature articles on Canadian fighter and bomber pilots (and other aircrew) who served in from World War II. Of particular interest were my articles on the Battle of Britain.

Note: Although the following review tends to somewhat over-emphasize the degree to which the book features stories from Atlantic Canada only, it still captures the book's spirit and intent. References are made in the various chapters to more than 500 airmen and their famillies from coast to coast. Also note that the new price is $29.99 Can.
