We received the following press release--RL Dr. JAMES COCHRAN CAPTURES CHAMPIONSHIP, $500 AND MEMENTOS. Dr. James Cochran of Easton, Pa dominated 71 other contestants during the past three days to win the championship of Risk International Tournament of Champions in Bethlehem Sunday. In the final round of play, Cochran won $500 and mementos by capturing the board game world from other finalists Matt Donoso of Bethlehem, Pa, second place; Nick Vlittas of Toronto, Ontario Canada third; John Toth of Bethlehem, Pa fourth; Adam Christman of Fleetwood, Pa fifth; and Steve Winget of Bethlehem, Pa sixth. `There were better quality players,` said Steve Pasco, organizer. In addition to Vlittas, contestants from out of state came from Michigan, Colorado, Texas, West Virginia and Massachusetts. Play began Friday night. A second round was held Saturday morning. The tournament was held in the Hickory Street Community Center, Bethlehem.
