RISKŪ Tournament Of Champions has scheduled its 12th Annual International RISKŪ boardgame championship on October 6-7-8, 2000 at the Hickory Street Community Center in Bethlehem, Pa. The International championship is the only RISKŪ boardgame championship in the world sanctioned by Parker Brothers, the makers of the game.

Published in 1959, RISKŪ is a game involving a high degree of strategy and a certain amount of luck. The game is designed around the premise of conquering others for global domination, which involves battling for and seizing predefined territories duplicated from the 1800 era. The 12th Annual's double-elimination tournament will host 120 players (Open to all age groups) that will compete for cash and prizes. 60 players will begin on Friday evening October 6 and the remaining half will begin on Saturday morning October 7. All Friday competitors will be guaranteed play on Saturday. The tournament will provide the best games combined with fabulous food, beverages, and celebrity comedy show for an entry fee of $35. The winner of this event is the reigning world champion. Last years champion was Dr. Richard Gray of Levittown, PA.

All six finalists this year will receive cash, "winner to receive $500.00", trophies, and other awards.
