My name is Geoffrey Regan and I am an experienced military historian and author of some 27 military and historical books in Britain, United States and Eastern Europe.

I have recently set up a website - http://www.thehistorian.co.uk - where individuals can, for a small charge, download complete pdf copies of my books and use a number of services I have devised. The range available at the moment is quite wide but if successful will grow much greater. I am contacting you to see if you would like to investigate the site and, if you feel it is worthwhile, perhaps review it for your readers. Anyone interested in visiting the site can get substantial free samples of all the books.

My aim is to market my numerous military books as well as to provide entertainment and instruction to those who do not always know where to find them in the realm of military and historical writing. In addition, I also intend to make my new series of historical novels available on the site, together with other historical services. For the moment the site is entirely in English but I intend to translate the forthcoming historical novels about Byzantium into German as well as the definitive book on military incompetence, Someone Had Blundered.

I am a serious historian with his tongue in his cheek. One of my Blunders books (Naval) was once reviewed as "the funniest book of the year." Several of my works have already formed the basis for TV programmes, notably the recent Great Military Blunders on Channel 4, Military Blunders for German and Swiss TV and Blue on Blue for ABC in USA.

At the moment I need to reach as many people as possible but hope, in the long run, to provide a valuable service for popular historians as well as merely an arcade for my own work.
