MagWeb.com was chosen as a "Link of the Week" by Computer Currents for January 27, 2000. More recognition is a great way to start off the year! Judging by the numbers, this was prepared in December 1999. Here's what they said:
Magweb is an extensive military history archive, covering 45 centuries with over 14,000 articles from 72 different magazines. The magazines cover military history and the art of war, plus wargames, board games, RPGs, and computer games. Here readers can find info on battles, weapons, campaigns, commanders, uniforms, strategy, and tactics from Biblical times to the modern era, and on into various futures. There are reviews of books, games, models and miniatures, and other products that bring military history to your armchair, tabletop, or computer screen. A search engine for the site enables users to find articles by keyword or concept and also to find rare archived issues of some magazines. There is a discussion board and free classified ad section. Most of the articles here are for registered users only; there is a monthly fee for subscription. However, there are many sample articles for free, allowing a first-time user to get acquainted with the different magazines.
