We received the following press release.--RL EVENT STARTING TIMESFRIDAY MORNING: 9AM To NOON AMERICAN CIVIL WAR JACKSON IN THE VALLEY 1862 Valley Campaign 15mm FIRE & FURY Rules Novice to Veteran Unlimited Players Map Movement and Game Table Resolution of Contacts as they occur. This is a Weekend Long event even though players may come and go throughout the weekend. Union forces are making their final push on Richmond but, they won't until reinforcements from Northern Virginia are sent to Richmond to help. T.J. Jackson, commanding the Valley Army has been directed to campaign against much superior forces in hopes of diverting even GREATER Union forces in his direction and away from the Cofederate capitol. In his favor is that the Union troops are in small units all across the map and with divided command while he controls all his forces and has them with him. Can the Confederates cause enough problems for Washington to worry about whathappens in the Valley? Hosted By Tom Day and David Yates WORLD WAR I DOGFIGHT War, War & More War This group brings their table to the Convention and will be open ALL WEEKEND LONG!!!!! In Addition to the WWI aeroplane action, they will have a New World War II Double Blind and a ACW Ironclad game. As well as what they bring as encores from past years. FRIDAY AFTERNOON NOON To 6PM MEXICAN AMERICAN WAR TAYLOR ON THE BORDER Campaign-- Palo Alto 15mm ON TO MEXICO Rules 6 to 10 Players Novice To Veteran One of up to three games depicting the opening actions of the War Taylor has been gathering his Army on the Rio Grande at present day Brownsville. The Mexicans have crossed the river around him heading toward his base of supply. Having been able to head them off from their objective, the opposing forces face off on an open plain called Palo Alto. Historically, the smaller but, better equiped and better trained U.S. Army were able to more than handle the much larger Mexican forces. Can History repeat itself? This game (hopefully ) will be part of three actions; Palo Alto, Resaca De La Palma and Fort Texas but, that requires that the Americans win the actions successively. Last Year they failed to do that so it was a short campaign. Can the Mexicans send the Norte Americanos to the shower early a second time?
