Command at Sea
No Sailor but a Fool is a little late, but is on track for Historicon. Beyond that, we've started work on Biplanes & Battleships covering the fascinating between-the-wars 1920's and 1930's.
This also means developing rules for WW I, since the ships of that period still used WW I technology. The rules, titled Fisher-Tirpitz, are in the early stages, but will be released in the same box with Biplanes & Battleships at Cold Wars '97.
Harpoon
Harpoon 4 will be demonstrated at Origins and Historicon this summer, with player feedback going into a final polishing of the rules. H4 will be released in the fall, in time for your Christmas stockings.
Dave Schueler's Harpoon Naval Review is now scheduled for release next summer at Origins '97, while Adrian Davis' Sea of Dragons will come out that Christmas. I'm sorry it takes so long to crank these out, but we're typing as fast as we can.
The Painter's Guild to WW II Naval Camouflage.
The Painter's Guild to WW II Naval Camouflage is out, with a cost of $18.95. Although not linked to any game system, any CaS player who uses miniature ships, or any ship modeler, will want to pick up this booklet. In 56 pages it covers the camouflage systems (or lack of system) of thc US, Britain, German, Japan, Italy, France, Russia, and the Netherlands with over one hundred and twenty drawings.

Publications
Brooks Rowlett writes:
The old ALNAVCO Log is reactivated in place of the ALNAVCO REPORT. Same format as The old Log 16 pages including covers. Nearly half of the issue is several letters debating the theory and practice of battleship damage resistance with focus on representing it in wargames, nearly the other half is latest miniatures and books available from ALNAVCO, and there are pictures of a Brest 1941 diorama at 1:1250 scale and visit to the Imperial War Museum. The new Log is being sent free to people who have ordered in the last 12 months, like the ALNAVCO Report, rather than as a subscription item like the old Log. ALNAVCO is now carrying many of the European 1:1250 model ship lines, including Modelbau Conrad formerly Hansa) ocean liners. ALNAVCO Log Volume 9 #1, May 1996.
