REMARKS
Improved Project 877 [Kilo] class, 2 meters longer. Twice as quiet (3 db?). new sonar suite. Max depth 350 m. Endurance 45 days. Sailor in sail can fire Igla-1M shoulder fired SAM. Launcher and 6 missiles stored in watertight container in sail. Being offered for export. Anechoic coating. Six weapons of loadout can be TEST-71ME wireguided weapons, which can only be launched from tubes 1 and 2. With six tubes loaded and depth and speed preset, first salvo can be fired in 15 sec, second salvo can be fired in 2 min. Max launch speed envelope 2.5-19 kt. Masts can be extended up to 10 kts.
If submerged: Acceleration per turn= 2kts per tac turn if running silent. Deceleration per turn-- 5 kts per tac turn if running silent.
Detection Modifiers: Anechoic coating: sonar detection modifier -10% active and passive. Very Quiet -15% passive sonar modifier.
Normal TT loadout is 6 TEST-71 ME, 12 other weapons.
