Harpoon Classic 2002 Gold is the next major release of the computer Harpoon product line. An extensive development effort is wrapping up this fall with the release of the first full, stand alone release of Harpoon Classic in over five years. This new version includes a further refined and upgraded Harpoon Classic game engine, an updated Scenario Editor, a Platform Editor, and updated EC2003 BattleSets. Harpoon Classic 2002 Gold requires no previous versions of Harpoon and is available as a download from AGSI’s website (www.advancedgaming.biz). CD versions are also available for an additional charge. For those who have supported us by purchasing Harpoon Classic 2002, you will be given credit for your $10 investment. Release is slated for “early Fall” or when we feel the product is ready. Harpoon III is undergoing some enhancements as a result of the investments made by our Australian partners. The commercial engine is receiving some of the enhancements from the Harpoon 3 Pro and Harpoon 3 MP (MultiPlayer) products. Currently under development are the MP product (which is somewhere between Alpha and Beta testing) and the current Pro product (which is awaiting acceptance from Australia). An extensible version of HIII is also under development where non-core engine component source will be released and for those that have the time and skill, they can modify and extend the functionality of the system (however all copyright remains with AGSI).
