Figurehead 1/6000 Ships

New Miniatures

By Larry Bond

Figurehead has released a new batch of 1/6000 moderns designed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the Falklands. The two sets cover the Royal Navy 1978 - 99, and “Latin America, 1946 -99.” While the coverage is very complete for the Argentines, there is almost nothing for the rest of South America. For those not familiar with the line, these miniatures are well done, crisply molded, and well-detailed in spite of their size.

They are available from Regal Enterprises, 1980 NW 94th Street, Suite D, Des Moines, IA 50325, (515) 253-0907, fax (515) 251-3906.

The set includes twenty-five British and nine Argentine packs with carriers, combatants, and amphibious ships for both sides, and include ships that were in service before the conflict as well as classes for both sides that entered service after it ended.

There is a 1/1200 line of aircraft designed to accompany the ships that include British and Argentine aircraft used in the conflict.
