Hallmark miniatures has finally released its Figurehead 1/6000 modern naval miniatures line. Containing over 50 packs, they cover the US and Soviet/Russian navies from the 1960s through the 1990s. Their range includes both modern units like Arleigh Burke and Neustrashimmyy, and older ones like the Tallin and Midway classes. Carrier packs cost $6.50 for two US fleet carriers. The Iowa battleship pack has all four of the class for $5.45. Cruiser and destroyer packs have four or five ships and cost 4.50 or $5.45 or $6.50. There are also submarine packs, which typically hold eight subs of two different classes. I saw the entire line at Regal Miniatures' booth at Cold Wars in March. The detail is good and the molding crisp. You don't get the detail of the 1/2400th-scale miniatures, but they take up less space and cost less.
