Missing Liberator
for Aleutians scenario

by Larry L. Bond

Mr. Roger S. Clark has pointed out that although the Aleutians scenario calls for the LB-30, we do not provide the stats in Annex B for this airplane.

The LB-30 was the Consolidated designation for Liberator IIs that were ordered by Britain, but taken over by the US and shipped to the Pacific. About 15 LB-30s entered US service, probably as patrol bombers. I've listed them with their British defensive armament, but it is possible that this was replaced, at some point, by US weapons. I've also included specs for the later B-24H/J.
